For the SIXTH year in a row Issaquah High School won the entire competition and are the WCTSMA State Champions! They had 3 students in the top 5 overall, taking 2nd, 3rd, and 5th (All 20 team members were in the top 10% of all competitors). They took 1st and 2nd in the Medical Terminology Competition. They also took 1st and 2nd place in Exercise Physiology, placed 2nd and 5th in the Emergency Responder event, placed 1st and 4th in the Anatomy and Physiology competition. A student on the team placed 4th in the Med School interviews and took 1st place in the Quiz Bowl Competition.
Overall it was an amazing weekend and the advisor, Todd Parsons, could not be more proud of this group. They worked incredibly hard all year dedicating hundreds of hours individually towards giving their own personal best to this competition. By winning this competition it qualifies them once again to compete in the Sports Medicine National Championships.
