The Issaquah DECA Club attended DECA’s International Career Development Conference in Orlando, FL. They brought 29 students and 5 very tired adults. All told, ICDC featured 21,000+ students from around the world, competing in a variety of business-themed competitive events. DECA events started this year with 222,000 students world-wide, so even making it to ICDC is a huge accomplishment. This was the largest group IHS has taken to ICDC in as long as anyone can remember. The students had a fantastic (and sleep deprived) time, and we had some amazing success:
Ishaan Sharma came in 2nd place in the world in the Principles of Business Management and Administration event.
Xander Yanni finished top-20 in the world in the Business Services Marketing event.
